2022 artist lineup

We are ecstatic to have Acoustic Syndicate return to their North Carolina roots for the Boonerang Festival on June 18!

With their bluegrass-inspired, jam band sound, you could argue that groups like Acoustic Syndicate, in many ways, were on the cutting edge of a turn-of-the-century American folk rock movement that opened doors for groups like the Avett Brothers and the Lumineers. Acoustic Syndicate formed in the early 1990s just down the mountain near Shelby, NC, but its ties to Boone are strong. With members that attended Appalachian State University, the band had frequent gigs in the area at venues like the still-renowned former Klondike Café, in the days of cassette tapes and acid wash jeans. Acoustic Syndicate is a band parents grew up with, but their kids still show up to see – because, honestly, good music is good music, regardless of the era.

The past three decades for Acoustic Syndicate have included countless shows across the nation, a half dozen studio albums, a pair of festival appearances at Bonnaroo and Farm Aid, a few fresh faces, and one temporary hiatus (not to mention a worldwide pandemic). But in 2022, the band is going better than ever. With an extensive summer touring schedule that spans from the Rockies to the Blue Ridge, including appearances at FloydFest and the Earl Scruggs Music Festival, we’re honored to have Acoustic Syndicate make a visit to the High Country for Boonerang!
